Approach

Ramp-over

Departure

If you are unfamiliar with these terms you will find your weekend rapidly becomes frustrating and expensive! Why is that?

When you approach any obstacle on the track you need to assess if your car is physically capable of clearing it.

If your approach angle is not sufficient you won’t be able to climb it.

If your ramp-over angle is too short, you will belly out.

If your departure angle isn’t adequate you will drag your back end.

Have a good look at these points on your car and (gently) practice out on the track to see what it is capable of.

These three dimensions are vital to you having a good, fun, damage free weekend 4wding.
