knowing your vehicle
knowing your vehicle
have a good look under your car
You must get to know how long, wide, and high your vehicle is.
You must learn where the low points are on the underside of your vehicle, and to judge when a rock is to big to go over.
You must learn to judge the overhang at the front and rear of the vehicle and not "hang-up" on ledges and rocks.
You must develop a good sense of where each of your wheels will be in terms of track and wheelbase.
The only way to learn this is by PRACTICE and club trips are a good place to start.
