One of the skills of 4WDing is a thing called "Terrain Appreciation". It relates directly back to our first chapters...Knowing Your Vehicle.


Always try to pick a "line" across rough terrain, which will require the least amount of wheel travel. If need be, rearrange any loose rocks to fill any deep holes.


You will be genuinely surprised at just where your vehicle can take you; there is a saying that says "the vehicle is always more capable than the driver", and it is very true.
